Enriched unknown number

Category: Communications
Editor :
Alten

Alten created a solution to address the everyday issue of how to handle calls from unkown callers, i.e calling party not in service subscriber’s smartphone contact list.

The Enriched unknown number (EuN) service enriches the incoming “unknown” calls with supplemental information coming from a query to web applications or external sources. In case the query is unsuccessful (no information found), then the Calling Party is asked to record his/her first and last name.

When the called party answers the call, the calling party information is played using text to speech. The the Called Party can then accept or reject the call.

The EuN service highlights how New Conversation APIs solve Service Providers’ challenges in deploying VoLTE features add-on very easily and quickly.

SIPPO WebRTC Client and Plug-In

Category: Communications
Editor :
Quobis

Sippo Web Application Controller (WAC) has been integrated with the New Conversation APIs at 2 different levels:

  • at client APIs level using the ALU WebRTC SDK, which manages the signaling against the Alcatel-Lucent WebRTC Gateway,
  • at server APIs level to enrich the application with both RCS features (e.g. network presence, network contact list and IP-messaging…) and  call management features allowing the subscriber to configure a number of valuable features directly from the browser (e.g.call forwarding on logout  to forward a call to another number when the subscriber is not logged onto the WebRTC client).

This solution help Service Providers to extend their reach to the web and to create new revenues right from the browser. It highlights the value of a common WebRTC client for the rapid launch and consistent user-experience of multiple WebRTC applications such as Web Collaboration service, B2C click-2-call on enterprise’s portal and Gmail Plug-in service.

Seamless Mobile Integration into CRM Processes

Category: Communications
Editor :
Phonedeck

Phonedeck solution improves B2B and B2C interaction by putting an enterprise’s customer calls into the right context using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools such as the Salesforce Platform.

Supported by Alcatel Lucent`s IMS APIs, Phonedeck developed a rich set of features, which are integrating mobile telecommunication network functionality into the CRM process. The application features intelligent routing based on presence and CRM data, enabling the correct employee to answer the customer’s call on either their mobile or directly in the browser tab running Salesforce. The CRM screen-pop displays relevant information about that customer. All calls are automatically logged in the cloud and can be reported to the entire sales team with just a click. Client data is kept separated from the smartphones address book and will be protected in compliance to the company policy. The work experience of sales and service representatives is significantly improved because of click-to-call, call transfer and routing, as well as easy conferencing and multi-device call handover.

Phonedeck solution blends IT applications (Salesforce CRM) with VoLTE communications, which drives improved productivity as well as customer satisfaction for businesses of all sizes, and therefore opens new enterprise markets to the service provider.

Contextual Collaboration

Category: Collaboration
Editor :
Vobi

Vobi is pioneering a new approach to collaboration by examining caller/callee identity and automatically collecting and curating content (files, videos, links, messages, etc.) around those calling parties.

Once parties are connected, even if it began as a circuit mobile call anchored in ALU’s IMS, Vobi can change the modality of the call…move a voice call to video or into the WebRTC browser, or vice-versa.

InLive Platform

Category: Entertainment
Editor :
Modulo C.S.

The inLive Interactive Mass Participation Solution (IMPS) enables broadcasters and telecom operators to launch new interactive TV formats and services that support mass audience participation. By integrating New Conversation APIs, inLive has overcome the capacity limitations of first-generation interactive solutions to enable concurrent participation by tens of thousands of users.

IMPS-backed services open up new revenue streams for telecom operators and broadcasters through the use of premium-rate numbers and interactive service subscriptions. These services boost ratings for TV programs by increasing viewer participation. Users can join the interactive content — for example, play a game or take a quiz — through any telephony- or IP-based input device or system, including IPTV remote control, Web, SMS and IVR. Their interactions are displayed in real time on the TV screen.

With the IMPS, broadcasters can dynamically manage and control  content flow during TV shows. They can also analyze participation and viewer behavior. The IMPS provides an end-to-end solution that includes user connectivity options, real-time content creation and management functions, graphics generation capabilities, and data analysis tools.
